Laura Kee

Laura is a senior studying Atmospheric Science and minoring in Climate Change and is thrilled to have the opportunity to attend COP 24 in Poland. Her passion for learning about meteorology, oceanography, and horticulture have blended overtime as classes have interwoven these interests of hers. She currently works at the Northeast Regional Climate Center creating write-ups and summaries by analyzing climate data throughout the Northeast. On campus, she is part of the President’s Sustainable Campus Committee’s Climate Focus Team, and part of the Cornell Chapter of the American Meteorological Society, as well as an enthusiastic participant in the Cornell University Deaf Awareness Project. At COP, she will be assisting the Armenian delegation as part of the UNDP Climate Change Program. She is eager to gain insights into the cross-cultural aspects of climate change policy and negotiations within the UN and is really looking forward to seeing where this experience will lead her.
