Overview: This Engaged Cornell course introduced students to climate change science and policy, with a focus on how science factors into global policy making – including through the UN Climate Summit and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) – and how negotiations take place before and during the annual Conference of the Parties (COP). Students in the course worked with partner countries and NGOs to help them with climate change–related research projects and preparation for the Climate Week NYC events and the COP25 conference in Santiago, Chile.
