Jake Pero, Cornell class of 2018, is a senior majoring in Environmental and Sustainability Sciences and minoring in Law and Society. With a concentration in environmental policy and governance, Jake has primarily grappled with climate change through coursework in environmental ethics. Moral considerations of adaptation and mitigation approaches have informed his research in Tamil Nadu, India, as well as his work with NYC Parks and the Cornell Institute for Climate Smart Solutions. Jake hopes to widen this perspective through interactions with global actors at COP 23, giving him expanded insight when tackling climate change in his future career.
