Marc is a senior in CALS at Cornell University studying atmospheric science. He is mainly interested in studying the physics that drive climate change, and its impacts on tropical cyclone formation and extreme weather events. Last year, he traveled to Vietnam as part of a Cornell class to interact with farmers and government officials of the Mekong Delta dealing with climate change firsthand. Marc attributes the trip as one of his top motivators to study climate change. He is currently Co-President of the Cornell Chapter of the American Meteorological Society and is pursuing a senior research thesis studying the effects of soil moisture on convective precipitation events in the Northeastern U.S. Marc would like to continue his studies in graduate school with an end goal of attaining a Ph.D.
