College of Agriculture and Life Sciences

I am a 3rd year student here at Cornell University. With the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, I am majoring in Biological Sciences and minoring in Climate Change.

Growing up in Ventura, California, I have always known that it was my right, responsibility, and privilege to leave the world better than how I found it. How I would do so has always been subject to change. After viewing Food Inc. for the first time, I envisioned myself drastically altering the nation’s food industry crises by leading a movement to naturalize livestock production. After reading my first National Geographic, I pondered establishing and enforcing international policy respecting animal rights. After watching my first PBS documentary, I visualized myself rehabilitating critically endangered species as a wildlife veterinarian. While my interests in the field of conservation biology have changed with time and age, my aspiration to work with people for this purpose has remained certain.

By pursuing the opportunity of attending COP24, I am in pursuit of a challenging, professionally-focused adventure that will enhance and complement my career goals and academic growth, while enriching my undergraduate experience with diverse cultural and international immersion.
